Complete the proverbs!
The post below is courtesy of a friend of mine who is a teacher somewhere in JB. Enjoy and have a good laugh.
Let's look at a few of my form 2 students' answers for the task of completing English proverbs. Real life situation.
1. BLOOD IS important.
2. DON'T WASH DIRTY LINEN with your hands.
3. BEGGARS MUS NOT ask for money.
4. EVERY CLOUD HAS different shapes.
5. DON'T PUT ALL YOUR EGGS on your leg.
6. BIRDS OF A FEATHER fly away.
7. EMPTY VESSELS are common.
8. DO NOT CAST PEARLS in the sea.
9. THE EARLY BIRD gets benefits.
10. ALL WORK AND NO PLAY play. (phua chu kang's influence?)
